Gee, shouldn't they have conceived a centennial program that's more in tune with
the bipolar ('young' and 'old' generation) of 1914?

something to look forward to i'm sure.. no doubt the symposium "beware of strange teachings" will be more apostate/evolution/education bashing.. george.

in another thread, what's new for 2013 - lo nuevo de 2013, jwn member, oppostate, posted news of dc releases at this year's district conventions.
among the releases was this: .
a new dvd for 2013: the return of the prodigal son.
There used to be time when they applied the "prodigal son" class to the "other sheep" class.
Some of the anointed were not happy to suddenly work together with the lowly esteemed foot soldier.
So the President of the WTBTS let it be known that he was not happy about that and labeled the anointed the “elder son” class, as were slow to get rid of old and incorrect ideas.

it seems to me that in the past large flashes of "new light" have come when the governing body was backed into a corner.
for example the multiple re-defining of what a generation is until it ended up the ridiculous "overlapping" meaning.. what is the reason this time?
are they worried because the number of partakers has been going up?
Why the "New Light" in the July 15 Watchtower?
The old light was down to a faint glow - the new light let's them look into the future for anouther 20 to 30 years.
it seems hardly a day can go by now without someone making a smutty comment and i really don't get it.. there is no need to interject talk of masturbation, sluts, gay sex or toys into every topic.
what are we, teenagers?.
please think twice before posting such comments.
By all means, make comments more readable for the research dept. at Bethel.
i've personally never wondered that, but apparently some people do.... (see 00:40 in the video below).

Shouldn't the clip have made it into the "Children" section of JW.org for toddlers?

cedars >> Just looking at your research.
As you pointed out, the place referred to as "Tahan" is actually Kalewa.
Just looking at the makeup of Kalewa Township it says:
Religion: 99% of the inhabitants of Tahan are Christian even though Burma is a Budhhist country and 90% of population are Buddhist. Only 4% of the Burmese population are Christian. There are over 50 churches in Tahan. This is the only place in Burma that a church can be seen from every street corner and where Christmas is celebrated.
Once more we can detect a WTBTS focusing on proselytizing Christians to their JW belief system.
True missionaries most likely will preach to pagans / heathens.
a friend of mine just got given a recording of the last ca which was held here a couple of weeks ago and she said there's been a change to the 144k teaching.
she didn't understand what the hell they were rabbiting on about.
she's really waking up as a result of all these changes, and so are some others she knows.. anyone know of any change to the 144k doctrine?

What is the difference between the Great T and the Armageddon?
. . . compare it with the excitement to come all the way to the point of no return.
After the great tribulation, with its Armageddon climax . . . Source: Worship the Only True God (2002), page 188 par. 11
hello everyone, i want us to discuss the gbs right to control jws.
the gb claim, and rf jws believe that they can't understand the bible without help from the gb.
when you ask them why they listen to the gb you hear stuff like .
. . . brainwashed for too long (short answer).
Although collectively called the GB, its individual members are of the anointed “class”.
Talking about those having “truly received this anointing” it is claimed that they have no special insights, nor does their holy spirit abound beyond what some experienced members of the “great crowd” have. — The Watchtower 2009, June 15, pp. 23-24 par. 15
Just putting 2 + 2 together. Be your own prophet.
hello folks:.
i was just thinking...what do you think the borg would look like if they said it's no longer necessary to do the preaching work...it's voluntary?
1. some would go tru the motions just to appear 'spiritually strong'.
If they restored the V. D. M. (Verbi Dei Minister) honorary degree they used to issue, perhaps some would be inclined to volunteer for the badge.
